Game Overview

Step into the shoes (or wheels) of a homemade robot, brought to life by a young inventor in a South African township. As the bot, your mission is simple: protect the house and family from an onslaught of relentless rats. Navigate through a lively, obstacle-filled household, where every piece of furniture and household item can be your ally or your obstacle. The rats are cunning, emerging from hidden holes in the walls and ready to wreak havoc. Armed only with a dash ability and rat traps you find around the house, you must outsmart these invaders and keep the house safe. How long can you hold out against the invasion?

Main Mechanics

Take full control of the bot’s movement and agility using intuitive controls:

• Movement: W, A, S, D or arrow keys
• Deploy Traps: Space bar to throw traps into position
• Dash: Use Shift or Alt to quickly evade obstacles or escape dangerous situations

Master the art of dashing and trap placement to evade obstacles and defeat rats. Be careful, though—traps can slow you down if you don’t dash past them quickly enough. Each level is designed with increasing difficulty and includes comic-style story panels that reveal the story behind your inventor’s journey and her prized creation.

Story

Our story follows a young, inventive mind from a South African township. This young creator builds a robot from discarded items and scraps, turning it into a beloved and resourceful defender for her home. Her invention serves two purposes: defending her home and family from the nuisance of invading rats and representing her spirit of ingenuity at a local science fair. As she showcases her creation, she not only demonstrates her skill but also sheds light on her resilience and creativity, using her homemade bot to make her world a safer, better place.

Each level presents a new comic panel to further the story, immersing you in the young inventor’s world and her fight to protect what matters most.

The Rats

Mean and aggressive, the rats will stop at nothing to disrupt the peace. They appear unpredictably from holes in the walls, seeking to overrun the house. Use the traps you find to stop them in their tracks, but beware—they’re always ready to strike back!

The Traps

Rat traps appear randomly around the house, giving you just the advantage you need to fend off the rats. When you find a trap, you can pick it up and place it strategically to damage the rats. However, these traps are temporary, and if you linger too long, they may end up hindering you, too. Dash over them to avoid slowing down and stay one step ahead of the enemy.
